What are you talking about, Wishbone? Introducing PBS’s hit children’s series featuring charming dogs who teach classic literature
I didn’t grow up with Wishbone, but I’m sure I wish I had. Nostalgia and love for this literary puppy have always been high. I can’t say I’m not excited to see this documentary, even if it wasn’t part of my childhood. What’s the story, Wishbone?? It will begin airing on PBS on May 27th and will run until early June.

Books as a luxury item
This is one of the best pieces of thought I’ve read in a while. It delves into the trend of fashion designers using books as inspiration and where and how this ties in with the gentrification of books themselves, as we navigate cost-of-living crises, literacy crises, and censorship crises. “The act of reading is under attack, and books as expensive accessories are a symbol of this. Just as the soaring prices of basic staples led to expensive food couture, the combination of luxury brands and books is a sign of social anxiety about reading. The use of children’s book titles such as: hungry caterpillar Highlights that young people’s access to books is at risk. ”
