So far, the ones I’m most looking forward to are “The Disappeared” by Marlon James, “Taipei Story” by RF Quan, “The True Confessions of First Lady Freeman” by Disha Philyau, and “The Conspiracy” by Sylvia Moreno-Garcia.

Rita Collins may have cracked the code on the perfect retirement lifestyle. Since 2013, she has traveled the country in a white Ford Transit van filled with books. Throughout her travels, she sets up shop in everything from museums to farmers markets. Everywhere she goes, locals seek to participate in the welcoming atmosphere she produces. Children read to her while lying on her rug, some invite her to speak at book clubs, and some even barter books for eggs. She has traveled to 40 states and saved over 100,000 miles selling used but still in good condition books. We hope she can reach all 50 states!
