Who wouldn’t want to use a little more of the wonderful things in their lives? Some of these graphic novel protagonists will probably have enough, but for the rest, the following five comics are a great way to spend an afternoon.

The Bizarre Bazaar: Down a Dark Path by Daniel Nayeri and Leslie Vamos

Hosted by fairies and djinn exiled to Earth for seven (and a half!) Eternal Years, this series features unsettling mystery stories. In the latest installment, two sisters begin to suspect that vampires lurk in the woods surrounding their family’s isolated farm. But is there something closer to home that we should be worried about?

“I Can Sell You a Body” by Ryan Ferrier and George Cambadice (on sale January 28th)

Denny has the most unusual talent. It is the ability to transfer the souls of the dead into the bodies of living humans. This makes him a very popular figure until he falls out of favor. Denny falls in love with one of the people whose body is about to become a rental property and suddenly finds himself on the run from all sorts of dangerous people.

Vonthiel’s younger brother, Elvar, has been quiet and responsible since his return from World War I, in other words, he looks nothing like the older brother she knew. Back in Europe, Fonseille himself must learn about responsibility and sacrifice when the salt witch, banished by Elver, turns all of the town’s drinking water into salt water. Because of this, she is forced to go on an epic journey to save her family.
