exorcist – March 13th, 2026. exorcist It will be rebooted in 2026 and is directed by Mike Flanagan, the king of horror adaptations. This is the first in Blumhouse’s new exorcist film trilogy. The franchise itself is based on a novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty. There is still little information about the film. There’s no official title. However, it was released in March 2026 and will be a must-see for most horror fans.
Incidents Around the House – May 8, 2026. Josh Malemans Incidents around the house It was released last year, but the adaptation is already underway. The film is directed by Rob Savage.Boogiman) and stars Jessica Chastain and Jay Duplas. Plus, the cast details are still TBD, but you’ll probably learn more soon!
It remains – October 23rd, 2026. This is a collaboration we have never been to. M. Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks joined forces to write a supernatural romantic thriller novel that also adapts to film. The novel will be released on October 7th next year, and the film will continue on October 23rd. Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to Star.

I’m very excited about these adaptations, but of course I’d like to see more films inspired by books by authors of women and colour. In the near future, there will be a 2025 Bipoc horror novel that will make a truly amazing movie!

It’s Pride Month and this is a great excuse to buy and read a bunch of weird books. One way I really enjoy finding a new book is to take recommendations from my favorite authors. Maria Machado of Carmen hasn’t misled me yet. Unfortunately, I don’t have these authors on Speed Dial, but fortunately they usually share their recommendations publicly.
Below we have compiled queer book recommendations from 11 beloved queer writers. Some from interviews they discussed their favorite books, and others are book blur. Both the author’s work and the books they recommend cover a wide range of genres and formats, including graphic novels, literary novels, poetry, biography, horror, sci-fi, YA fantasy, so there’s something for all kinds of readers.
