It was one of the most anticipated books of the year, and even before it was released earlier this month, it landed on many summer book lists. However, since the book is out and the reader is finally holding it in his hand, atmosphere Is Taylor Jenkins Reed worth the hype? I’m here to tell you not only is it worth the hype. atmosphere It may be Taylor Jenkins Reed’s best book.
Taylor Jenkins Lead atmosphere
First, make sure you don’t get in the way. Yes, the novel took place in the 1980s and is about the Space Shuttle Program. Partially. But if you are here for an adventure in the universe, that is not the main concern of this novel. It’s certainly there, but this is a romance. It is also a novel about friendship and family. The characters and their relationships are the main driving force behind this story, and yeah, we’re thrown in a bit of space. And there are many fun references to David Bowie.
We’re all on the same page, so let’s chat about what this novel is teeth About. atmosphere Joanne Goodwin, professor of physics and astronomy at Rice University, leaves academia when NASA’s Space Shuttle Program welcomes female scientists to join for the first time. There, she heads to the Johnson Space Center in Houston in the summer of 1980 to train among a fascinating group of candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
Much of this story focuses on Joan’s friendship with these characters. Among these new friends is aviation engineer Vanessa Ford. Jaune feels incredibly portrayed, especially by Vanessa, and soon the two become unable to separate. Yes, they start to fall on each other.
However, in the government space program of the 1980s, strange women face many challenges. Apart from the discrimination Joan and Vanessa face as part of the only women in the program, if they want to continue their work, their love for each other must be hidden. Joan doesn’t even bother sharing his true self with his sisters Barbara and Nie Francis. Still, Joan feels lucky to have found true love, and she has the job of her dreams.
The space mission then went well in December 1984. Everything is being questioned.
atmosphere It will travel back and forth in time between the high pressure moments of the 1984 STS-LR9 mission and the important events that Joan experienced with Vanessa, her colleagues/friends, and the family leading to this heart-wrenching mission. The story changes perspective between Vanessa and Joan, and as readers we become cherished both of these women, but Joan is truly at the heart of this story. She is full of life and passion, and I don’t think it’s possible to read this novel and I don’t feel like I’m deeply invested in what happens to her and the people she cares most about.
teeth atmosphere Taylor Jenkins Reed’s best novel? That’s definitely what made me cry the most. That’s what I had by my throat, especially on the last page. So far, it is arguably the most romantic Taylor Jenkins lead novel. This is her best novel worth all the buzz it’s getting.
