But here’s the weirdest part of this mission. While Junior is away for several years, Henrietta is never left alone. They are meanwhile building a replica of Junior to keep him company. As Junior and Henrietta prepare for this momentous change, their every move is monitored by Terrence, a strange man who shows up on their doorstep that fateful night. Terrence even moves into their house, pulling Henrietta and Junior aside and continuing to ask prying questions, trying to know everything about their relationship and their lives. Junior doesn’t trust anything. Something has been wrong with Terence, and Henrietta has been acting strange lately.

enemy is a disturbing thriller with sci-fi elements, but the heart of the story is the relationship between Junior and Henrietta (or Hen, as they call him). This novel is an exploration of love and intimacy, written with the kind of chilling, sinister dread that only Ian Reid can convey.

If you’ve seen the movie enemy Trust me, there’s still a lot to know about Junior and Henrietta’s story. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, please read the book first! The way the leads slowly reveal the truth about Junior and Henrietta and their experimentation is very cleverly done, and this movie will definitely spoil some of it. The story really comes to life only after you watch the movie. Wait until the book does its magic.
