Will Unrice’s adaptation increase?
When I think about Anne Rice’s adaptation, I think about how much aaliyah I wanted to be when that much panned adaptation hits the screen. That’s not news. The news is that Anne Rice’s real estate has a new partnership that will make her adaptable work even more vast. If you didn’t know, Christopher Rice, Rice’s son, as a dinner partner LLC, manages the literary property of the real estate, along with fellow writer Eric Shawquin. They signed in Inkwell Management and literacy. I’ve heard that AMC’s The Vampire Chronicles is very good and there’s a shortage of Rice (under Unrice, Unrampling, Lokelaua). So I’m not mad at the news.

Terry Brooks passes Shannara series to Delilah S. Dawson
This year’s Galaphile: Shannara’s first druid is Terry Brooks’s final Shannara novel. The prolific author has announced his retirement at Emerald City Comic Con, and has given the Shannara series to the author of the Guillotine and hosts of Star Wars books and other titles. Brooks explained that he hadn’t followed the route of the traditional pass series after death because he wanted to see what he came next, and sounded like he had a voice in Dawson’s direction in the series. This is probably not the first time Dawson has collaborated with another author. Kill the Farm Boy was co-authored by Kevin Hearn. She is similarly not new as the spinning tales from existing epic stories that take into account her work with the Star Wars franchise.
The best book ever is this year’s cover
Do you already have the cover of your favorite book for the upper half of the year? I might be home by Carrie R. Moore. I was just mailing and couldn’t stop staring (Beth Stidle cover art design and Uzo Nyuk’s art). We have even more amazing book covers to help you rest your eyes.
