To act justly and love mercy
The Rev. Marian Edgar Budde on the right made the headline when he urged President Trump to “have mercy” during the sermon he gave at the National Prayer service this January. The instantly word-of-mouth sermon was inspired by Budde’s 2023 book, “How We We Adail on Brave.” Penguin Young readers announced this week that they will be releasing two adaptations of Budde’s work for children. The first, We Can Be Brave, YA edition, has been adapted to novelist Bryan Bliss, and is scheduled for October 25th. I can learn to be brave Continuing in the summer of 2026. Iowa’s ban bill is blocked again
The federal judge once again blocked Senate file 496. This requires that “all public school materials are “age-appropriate” without “explaining or depicting sexual activity.” SF 496 requires schools to remove material from the shelf that deliberately does not fit the vague definition of “age appropriate age,” but Kelly Jensen said, “This is the third decision made in court without thousands of public school students accessing classes, and without access to the bills registered at the school’s left.
