
The Most Popular Books of May, According to Libby
Over the past few months we have been reviewing Libby checkout statistics. This is an app that patrons can use to check out ebooks, audiobooks, and emmagazine. During May we switch things a little. This time, we are considering checkout number for e-books and audiobooks.
Both sets of statistics provide interesting insight into the interests of library clients across the country. Books range from just recent mega bestselling thrillers to favorite books from a particular Georgian era. However, despite the diversity of publication dates, the authors do not have much diversity. This makes sense given the number of people who want to read the most popular books that everyone is talking about. These are often the books with the largest publication budget.
So, if you’re behind our weekly bestseller list, many of the books on the list will be familiar to you. For this reason, and to see a little more of the diverse titles, the list below will be skipped a bit in terms of rankings.
