Simplicity by Mattie Lubchansky (July 29th)

I loved Matty Lovechansky’s previous graphic novels, Boys Weekend and the satirical trans horror story, so I can’t wait to pick up her latest one. Simplicity It follows Transman, who lives in a walled city in New York in 2081. He is employed to conduct anthropological investigation into the cult of Catskill simplicity. He is fascinated by this community, but he begins to have a vision of a monster and beautiful creature. And the members of simplicity begin to disappear.

Yellow book cover game

Yellow Game by Haley Piper (August 12)

First of all, the cover is completely creepy. This horror novel follows Carmen and Blanca, tired of their perverted sex life. The Yellow King. Reading it will make you angry…but if you only sample a few pages, you will experience a sense of happiness. As they play on the edge of the razor between joy and the blank, Carmen begins to long for a runaway into the world of play. Queer Arab Craft Erotic Horror? Why not?

Both/and cover

Both/and: Trans and Genderless Essays, Denne Michele Norris’s Color Writer with Electrical Literature (August 12)

Covering this vicious hunger

This vicious hunger by Francesca May (August 26th)

One of the patterns I saw on Queer Lit this year is Gothic. I’m here for that. I can’t resist Gothic like this, especially sufficient. Sora is a widow looking to start a new life studying botany at a prestigious university. There, she is intrigued by a woman in the garden under the window at night. She learns that Olea has an illness that is limited to the garden, and as their relationship gets stronger, Sora becomes obsessed with finding a cure. Tanya Perle, author of her evil roots, calls it “a strange fairy tale of toxic romance that reflects longing.”

Three parties by Ziyad Saadi (August 26th)

Queer Palestinian refugee Filadarer has meticulously planned a 23rd birthday party and set it up as an opportunity to appear with friends and family. However, despite his best efforts, things have already fallen apart, with several scandals threatening to cover his day among the guests. It goes without saying that the love triangle he is currently in. Mrs. Dalloway.

Floating island cover

Floating Island: Growing Pain and Video Games by Kawika Guillermo (September 2)

I don’t play many video games, but I’ve seen many video essays about them. What I can say: I love media criticism. In this memoir, Guillermo explores the roles that video games played in his life as a strange mixed race person in a religious family. He writes about how they can be a source of frustration and comfort, escapism and connection. He also discusses how video games can reveal things about our world.

You weren't going to be on the cover of a human book

You were not intended to be human by Andrew Joseph White (September 9)

He loves the spirit of Andrew Joseph White brings compound fractures with teeth, and now he’s making his adult debut. Considering how dark and go his YA horror is, I can only imagine what his adult horror would look like. In this case, the crane is one of the last humans on Earth, living only to serve the alien hive. However, there were several advantages at the end of the world, including that he was able to transition and meeting Levi. However, when Levi makes him pregnant and Hive demands Crane give birth, Crane does anything to stop it.

Fate's Bane on the cover of Cl Clark's book

Fate’s Bane by Cl Clark (September 30)

I love Cl Clark’s Unbroken The Broken, and Book Two in the series was even better, so I read anything they wrote. Oddly, they have two books on the same day. This standalone novel and the final book of The Soverign, The Magic of the Lost Trilogy. I’m most looking forward to it Sovereign, But I read both. The trouble of fate“Tragic Suffic Adventure” follows two women from a rival clan who fell in love with him. They may be the key to ending the feud, but it will come at a terrible price.

The Keeper of the Magic Things Covered

The Guardian of Magic by Julie Leon (October 14th)

One of my favorite subgenres is a strange cozy fantasy, so I’m really looking forward to this. Look at that cute cover! There’s a flying cat! That continues with certainty. It’s a struggling novice magician, and he is paired with the brilliant, cold mage Aurelia to help out in a small, magical town. As they work together, Aurelia and certainty begin to question the magical hoarding of the Mage Guild.

The Island of Ginkai with a book cover by Tasha Suri

The Island of Ginkai by Tasha Squirrel (October 21st)

The last suffic fantasy book. I loved Jasmine’s Throne so I’m excited to a) read the rest of the trilogy and b) read this standalone romantic novel. It takes place in England in “Fueled to the Story.” There, the witches Simran and the knight Vina are destined to fall in tragic love for the rest of their lives. What’s worse, assassins target stories like theirs. However, this time they are determined to write themselves as a better ending.
