This is a big win for Americans, a big win for public libraries and museums across the country, and I am worried about whether federal funding will continue for the past two months. In the coming hours and days, there will be some kind of response from the Trump administration, if not the complete appeal of the decision.

The second lawsuit brought against the administration in IML guting filed by the American Library Association and AFSCME should also arrive in the near future. The judge in that case issued a temporary restraining order in the case, indicating that the actions taken by the Trump administration were unconstitutional.

Of course, many questions have yet to be answered, such as where and how IMLS staff and functionality restoration will work, and where and how the Trump administration will continue to urge them to act as an administrative propaganda arm.
