Publisher’s Weekly Summer Reading List

Publishers every week We have released our reading list for this summer. They have staff picks, including girls grown up by NightCrawling author Leila Mottley. Some of the titles that stood out to me were disappointed by Nicola Dinan (fiction), a complex love story centered around British trans women. Meta! Find the complete list here.

Booktok through the fun lens

I don’t often come across Booktok’s profile that describes it as a fun space filled with queer and bipok creators, so it was lovely to read this opinion piece by Yarimar Bonilla. Even better, she links with some of her favorite people to follow, so it’s a great way to find this creator. Bonilla points to Booktok’s uniformity, but also talks about the rediscovering the joy of reading through the creators she follows, as well as the diverse recommendations that have invited her to books that don’t feel like reading or homework. She also highlights interesting debates taking place online. All I have to say is listening to audiobooks I’ll do it It counts when you read Tyvm.
