  • This is the shortlist for the YALSA Morris Award, which recognizes the year’s best debut YA novels. We have some really great titles!
  • This month, another YALSA award shortlisted for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults. Again, a great list with my favorite books of 2025. It’s worth noting that this list is particularly white in terms of authors. I believe it’s because this year’s YA nonfiction lineup wasn’t particularly diverse. This is something to keep an eye on next year, as YA nonfiction is one of the more popular works of history. largely A diverse lineup of titles.

Here’s a little more information about the book and how it’s been adapted. Hopefully it will be released in 2026. If you haven’t read this book yet, it’s worth picking up. Perhaps it will be reissued when it is made into a movie.
