Sync audio and e-books with new Audible features
Audible has launched a new “immersion reading” feature, Read & Listen. This allows users to listen to audiobooks while synchronously reading highlighted text within ebooks from within the Audible app. This is a mirror image of the Whispersync for Voice feature already available in the Kindle app. For this to work, you must have both the ebook and audiobook versions of the title in your Kindle and Audible libraries. Audible cites research showing that reading and listening at the same time improves concentration and comprehension, and while this is certainly a beneficial option for people with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions, accessibility does come at a price.
