Choose your own adventure book Finally going digital
New Choose Your Own Adventure books are published every year, but they feel like relics of the 80s, at least to me. For the past 15 years, it hasn’t been available in e-book format since that failed experiment, but things are about to change. Chooseco has signed an agreement with Open Road Integrated Media to adapt all 101 titles as e-books, using links to make choices within the story. Most will be released this year, with the final 25 scheduled for release in 2027. I’m surprised it took this long to get here. Hyperlinks are not necessarily state-of-the-art technology. But in the end, I’m glad it made it to the 21st century! There’s also a Choose Your Own Adventure audiobook that combines the first four books into one. Be prepared to skip each chapter in your listening app.
