I mean, I know why. It’s for money but I want to know why. I say that as someone who literally watched the first season. Good Omens Once a year since its release in 2019 until the second season is released. Season 3 of the popular show was belatedly released as a single 90-minute episode as a compromise response to Neil Gaiman being accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. However, we also understand that the cast and crew had already put a lot of effort into Season 3 when the allegations were made. Gaiman, on the other hand, participates in the writing of each season, including season 3, even though he and his production company are not involved in the show. I don’t believe that “separation of art and artist” is a reality, and I highly doubt that condensing an entire season into an hour and a half is a good idea. There seems to be hot chaos all around.

Imprisoned writers rise to 400 worldwide
PEN America alerted us to a disturbing trend. Since the organization published its Writing Freedom Index in 2019, the number of writers in prison has increased by 68%. In 2025, 401 writers were imprisoned in 44 countries. China has the highest number of writers in prison (119), while countries engaged in armed conflict, such as Iran, Russia, and the occupied Israeli/Palestinian territories, also rank high. Additionally, new countries have been added to the index: Togo, Mozambique, and the United States. British opinion writer and columnist Sami Hamdi, a writer detained in the US, is believed to be a victim of the current administration’s weaponization of ICE.

I haven’t actually read any of the books in The Empyrean series, but I love the excitement it brings. I’m also excited to see what Jordan’s production company (Outlier Society) can come up with, especially after he wins an Academy Award. sinner.
Have book subscription boxes ushered in the era of the “fifth format” of books?
Speaking of glittering special editions, Publishers Weekly Here’s how this Deluxe Edition era we live in came about. Basically, we started with subscription boxes like Eternal Embers, OwlCrate, FairyLoot, and Midnight Whispers, then redesigned our backlist titles and shipped them on a seasonal or monthly basis. Well, the containment is broken as we are currently redesigning to focus on romance and fantasy titles. I’ve seen special editions of all kinds of books, and some are a bit surprising. Beautiful Edges pleases the book collector in me (which is clearly different than the reader in me), but I wonder if designed edges and special editions are here to stay, or if they’re the book equivalent of fast fashion, as some say.
