A highly acclaimed (and must-see!) documentary librarian It will only be available to stream on PBS for a few more days. If you want to watch it from the comfort of your own home, don’t miss it before it ends on May 9th. The good news is that the film will continue to play in theaters across the country and will be available on the Kanopy streaming service starting May 22nd. librarian A wider release is planned for this fall.

And Oprah’s next book club pick is…
It’s Time: Oprah’s Book Club Chooses john’s john Douglas Stewart selected him as the next choice. This is not necessarily surprising, since Stuart’s book was highly anticipated. But out of all the options for May’s book club, this is probably not the book most people would choose for her. Kathryn Stockett’s first book since her 2009 debut, The Help, is… The Calamity Clubwas also published and seemed to be a staple of this (and other) celebrity book clubs.
“I felt moved,” Winfrey said in a statement Tuesday. “I could feel every aspect of this remote community where tradition and judgment quietly shape everyone’s lives. Douglas Stewart has masterfully woven a multi-layered, compelling, yet deeply intimate story about identity, what it means to belong, and the courage to stand up for your truth.”
This is Oprah’s 123rd book choice and her 3rd book choice for 2026. Her book selections so far this year include the much talked about Marie Semple book Go Gentle and the next book from beloved author Tayari Jones, Kin.
