sisters of AARP I’ve released a list of Black Book Festivals happening across the country this year, and that’s all I have to say. No one said anything to me! I’m just kidding, but only a little. It’s convenient to see everything in one place. The schedule begins April 25th and runs through the fall, with locations in the South, West, Midwest and Northeast.

The best historical novel of the century
So far, this century’s best historical novels range from ancient Greece to the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, the Six-Day War in Palestine, and NASA astronaut training in the 1980s. Although historical fiction is still biased towards recent events, we are seeing more history around the world than we did just a few decades ago.
The true identity of best-selling thriller author Frieda McFadden revealed
This is kind of fun. I love a good mystery surrounding the author’s true identity (remember all the things surrounding the author’s true identity?) for argy?It was a very cute time), and McFadden is the latest writer whose true self is shrouded in mystery. I have not yet read any of her books, which have been on and off the top of recent bestseller lists, but I have to say that her secret author identity game is perfect. Sarah Cohen (real name) is a doctor who specializes in brain diseases. To protect her privacy, she uses a pseudonym, McFadden, as well as a wig and glasses. the So I love it even more. A++ disguise.
1st James Patterson & Bookshop.org Award
I’m always excited to see what Bookshop.org does next, and I have to say their latest announcement is pretty dope. They partnered with James Patterson to recognize full-length debut books published in the United States within the past year with the James Patterson & Bookshop.org Award. The award stays true to the spirit of Bookshop.org by relying on booksellers for all nominations and selections. The first recipient of the award is-correspondent Written by Virginia Evans is an epistolary novel that really became a hot topic last year. The runner-up was Milo Todd’s novel set in World War II. lilac people.
