sophie kinsella Confessions of a shopaholic Author passed away

The mother of five, author of the best-selling “Confessions of a Shopaholic” series, died of brain cancer on Wednesday. Sophie Kinsella’s romantic comedy about a woman’s shopaholics and her mounting debts has been turned into 10 novels and sold millions of copies worldwide. These books were written under pseudonyms. She also writes books under her real name Madeline Wickham. After being diagnosed with glioblastoma, Kinsella wrote the novella What Does It Feel Like? About my mother who had a brain tumor. “I thought people might want to know what it’s like to go through this,” Kinsella said of the novel, which she co-starred with TV personality Robin Roberts. “I hope this novel is filled with optimism and love above all else.”

Free Comic Day is back

“Free Comic Book Day,” where comic book stores distribute free comic books, has been in flux ever since it was purchased as an asset by Diamond Comics, a major comic book retailer. FCBD will return on May 2, 2026 with a parallel event currently being called “Comics Giveaway Day” through Universal and Penguin Random House respectively.
