A very warm thanks for both Michael Chabon’s film and film Wonder BoysFrom a literary citizen of Pittsburgh itself. I agree with Simon that both incarnations of Wonder Boys are underrated and there is a lot to offer readers and writers alike. This is a performance from Tobey Maguire, “What is this guy’s ceiling?!” McDormand is welcomed at once at once with Michael Douglas’ Chambre, Eradication, and Lost Grady Trip (more people might say). I’ll re-watch it off in the ocean.

I like to highlight opportunities that may be a bit unknown. And this was unknown to me this morning.
National Book Foundation (NBF) teacher fellowships use innovative methods to make reading a part of students’ school day experiences using innovative methods to make reading a part of their school day experience using innovative methods We support and celebrate our grade teachers. The NBF Teacher Fellowship aims to:
- Support classroom activities that directly affect student development as a lifelong reader
- Celebrate and highlight creative and effective models for independent reading instruction
- National Book Award – Anonored Titles bring more young people together with great literature
As part of the fellowship, teachers will develop or continue initiatives that promote reading for classroom joy, incorporating national book awards into their curriculum, and participate in other ways by participating in the in-person learning community. Work with fellows. Convened in New York City.
The application is scheduled for February 28th (real soon), and comes with a $3,000 salary and a $2,000 book budget. Please forward this to anyone who may become a candidate. Maybe you’re yourself.
