Best of all, the list is amazing. It’s diverse, with a mix of popular books and lesser-known publications. I had the opportunity to speak with Susen See, Young Adult Staff Engagement and Support Manager at the New York Public Library, about curating a list of episodes. Hey, hey You can listen here.
Speaking of the YA list, there were a lot of books I was looking forward to (like Bright Red Fruit by Safia Eljillo and Canto Contigo by Johnny Garza Villa), as well as a few I didn’t know about. There were (“Age 16” by Rosena Huang, “Crash Landing” by Lee Charmaine Ang). This also applies to lists for adults and lists for children. To be fair, though, I’m not very familiar with children’s books as a whole.
