I came to this country in 1980, but the ban on these books doesn’t recognize America my father spoke to. But they didn’t hurt me or personally benefit me. It gives you a touch of pride that you feel censored alongside people like Toni Morrison and Margaret Atwood.

A summer game worth reading
Games and Library! What a winning combination, and Ann Arbor does it right in his summer games. No, Summer Games are not intermediate mystery free from the periphery of your childhood memories. It is a game held annually by the city’s public library system, with 16,000 active players. It is impressive that many people do anything other than sitting in front of A/C during the summer, but both of these reading challenges appeal to modern human instincts to gamify everything and broaden its scope by focusing on exploration rather than simply reading. It goes beyond providing books, discovering what libraries can do for them and seeing those resources actually being used, which is advantageous for both parties. The best part? The code for summer games is open access and any library is available.
Speaking of games…
Hasbro created the game based on Rebecca Jaros’ extremely popular Empyrene series, so they put together a fourth wing friend group. The literary version of their existing games, priority: Absurd choice party games sets up to help players rank characters, scenarios, and more from the game’s feed-rich storyline. Yarros himself worked with Hasbro to create the game, which will not be until October, but is currently available for pre-order.
