5 Short Books on My Queer Halloween Readathon TBR
A Game in Yellow by Hayley Piper promises to be a sapphic, heart-melting horror-erotica novella, and as such will definitely be featured on my Queer Halloween Read Aloud (TBR) list.
I loved Boys Weekend, so I’m excited to pick up Matty Lubchansky’s new trans-horror graphic novel Simplicity. Reviews say it’s a “fusion of dystopian science fiction and folk horror,” so it’s definitely interesting.
Sapphic gothic monster romance? Shut up! But Not Too Bold by Hache Pueyo has been on my TBR ever since it was announced, so now seems like the perfect time to read it. I’m currently in the middle of another Sapphic monster romance, Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell, and I’m really enjoying it.

Graveneye by Sloane Leong and Anna Bowles is another weird horror graphic novel in my stack, this one about a sentient haunted house in the woods. Sold!
(Content Warning: Mention of suicide.) Sophia Ajram’s Coup de Grâce appears to be a gripping horror novel about a gay man whose suicide plans are interrupted when he steps off the subway into an endless loop station. Spatial fear is my Achilles heel so this is a must read for me.
