15 Queer Books on My Halloween Month TBR
With the season eased, I have a few Haunted House romance novels on my list. Searching for love in every ghost place by Claire Kang (asexual f/m), Edgar Lovejoy is searching for the most unusual haunt of Lone Parrish (TransMasc nb/cis m). I also have someone who can make someone who can make a nest by John Wyswell in my life.
Currently I’m reading Chuck Tingle’s Lucky Day. This is a very strange bisexual horror novel. I’m only having a few chapters, but I’m having a great time. Another genre blending category on my list is monsters and mainframes about sensory spaceships trying to kill Dracula. It promises to become a “strange love child of pulp horror and classic sci-fi.” Another mashup: Midnight Shift by Seon-Ran Cheon, translated by Gene PNG, a Sapphic Vampire Murder Mystery.

I have one million Suffic Gothic books on my TBR this month, but let me stand for everything in the Monster House House by Daphne Fama. This is set in a 1986 Philippines odd and changing home. Speaking of strange houses, you’ve come to welcome you with Vincent Tirad, the story of Suffic’s haunted house. I can’t resist them. And all the minds you eat at Haley Piper is a trans gothic horror novel that I’ve been looking forward to since coming out last year.
I really enjoyed the Andrew Joseph White Ya Horror I read, so I look forward to his adult horror debut.
Roar of Lamb by Jamison Shea is a gothic Ya thriller of gender.

For graphic novels, I have Graveneye by Sloane Leong and Anna Bowles on my list. (So many Gothic styles!) One of the graphic novels I get most excited about is the simplicity of Mattie Lubchansky, a trans-futuristic folk horror graphic novel. I loved boys weekends so I can’t wait for this.
I also hope to arrive at some strange horror essay collections and anthology: Uncanny Valley Girls: Horror, Survival and Love of Essays by Zefyr Lisowski and Queer Little Nightmares is compiled by David Ly & Daniel Zomparelli editors.
